First Aid for School and Pre-school
There are specific risk environments in schools and different protocols for dealing with casualties involving young people. These courses examine typical situations, the actions that may be needed and the priorities behind them.
Early years First Aid
This course focuses on emergency scenarios that are faced by professionals,
including teachers, au pairs and playgroup leaders, looking after young
children.
It meets Ofsted requirements for registered child minders and the requirements for nannies under the DfES Approved Carers Scheme. It can be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in childcare and Education
Who should attend ?
Anyone working with younger children – those up to eight years old – or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.
Assessment
Continuous assessment by trainer. A skills-based final assessment is available to students working towards a child minding NVQ.
