Basic Fire Awareness Training
This course teaches basic fire safety awareness as it applies to the workplace. Courses can be tailored to suit a specific audience and typically run for 3 hours. This training is grant approved by the CITB.
All courses are certificated and comply with the Fire Precautions (Workplace)
Regulations 1997.
The syllabus includes:
- Causes of workplace fires
- Fire safety precautions
- Reducing the risks
- Fire fighting procedures
- Fire extinguisher recognition and use (theory and practice)
- Fire Action Planning
Statistically EVERONE will be involved in at least one fire in their lives.
- In 2005 fires killed approximately 900 people in the United Kingdom
- 46 of these dies in fires in the workplace
- 3,150 people were injured
